Are you trying or training to live for Christ? Typical NewSpring Church double talk…

It’s time for me to check in and see what NewSpring Church Self-help Center is teaching my community this week.

I think this Brad Cooper clip is good example of what goes on at NewSpring Church:

Interesting little pep talk from Brad Cooper. It’s catchy, and he makes some good points that I agree with. I do think that Noble and his staff of preachers make some very good points in their sermons, but it’s what isn’t said that is the problem many times. I would love to be reporting how Perry Noble teaches repentance from sin, instructs his people on holy living, and how he feeds his flock with sound biblical teachings. My problem is not with their music (I like guitars and drums in the worship service; I do, however, have a problem with using non-Christian music like AC\DC, etc. to worship God), the size of the church, or with breaking the sermons down to a level for everyone. The problem I have with these types of NewSpring lectures is they do not practice what they preach. These pep talks generally leave you full of worldly relevant chatter while being almost void of any true scriptural teaching.

Let’s examine some of Brad Cooper’s more colorful moments in his NewSpring ministry:
