    Beth Moore's Dangerous Bible Twisting
I recently reviewed two segments of Beth Moore's "Bible teaching" on my radio program and I must admit I was bowled over by just how bad and dangerous her teaching really is. I know she's popular but this woman is NOT rightly handling God's word. Instead, she is twisting the scriptures to her own destruction and the destruction of her hearers.

Take a listen for yourself. Not only is this bad, its downright dangerous false teaching!

    A BETH MOORE EXPOSE
By Ken Silva pastor-teacher on Mar 11, 2010 in AM Missives, Current Issues, Features, Southern Baptist Convention

Apprising Ministries pieces like How Would You Know Beth Moore? I’ve shared my concerns about people like Moore who appear to claiming to receive special revelation directly from God. Like many in evangelicalism and Southern Baptist circles, e.g. Druckerite Purpose Driven Pope Rick Warren, Moore’s teaching is often peppered with things she says the Lord told her personally.

We’d often hear this kind of thing from Word Faith heretics like T.D. Jakes and Joel Osteen, who pray in an altered state of consciousness they call “tongues,” but with growing acceptance of corrupt Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism within evangelicalism—its Contemplative/Centering Prayer is another form of ”praying” in an altered state of consciousness—it’s even more common now than you may know.

Concerning Beth Moore Personal Freedom Outreach, a fine discernment and apologetics ministry, told us a couple of years ago:

following repeated requests for a critique of Beth Moore, PFO offered its first article which examined both the teaching found in her best-selling book, When Godly People Do Ungodly Things, and her unorthodox associations.

Because of the popularity of that initial evaluation, PFO received calls for additional articles surveying her unabashed mysticism and faulty biblical interpretations. To date, PFO has published a total of four articles examining Beth Moore, and these are available together as a special offer. (Online source)

Against this backdrop I now point you to the below segment from the Fighting for the Faith (FftF) program of Christian apologist Chris Rosebrough that airs on Pirate Christian Radio. Of this particular portion of FftF, over at his Extreme Theology website today, Rosebrough writes:

I recently reviewed two segments of Beth Moore’s “Bible teaching” on my radio program and I must admit I was bowled over by just how bad and dangerous her teaching really is. I know she’s popular but this woman is NOT rightly handling God’s word. Instead, she is twisting the scriptures to her own destruction and the destruction of her hearers.

You can also join in the lively discussion which has already been sparked over this FftF segment on Beth Moore in the comments section of the above post right here.

Thank you billie. Moore is on the cover of one of those Christian magazines they lay around in Baptist churches(including mine). Will sneak this write up in them!

The key verse that gets my attention is "But my righteous one will live by FAITH" and I am reminded of the CONFIDENCE we have in CHRIST in verse 19 and 20 being what motivates me because of the full assurance we have in Christ. Beth Moore misses the whole point. She is placing our confidence in self and not by faith in the finished person and work of Jesus. there is no power in SELF. I have NO confidence in myself.

confidence in self is sheer law and self will power and steals the glory and honor that only Jesus is worthy of. our Relationship becomes cold stale and dry because we are in essense putting Jesus on the bookshelf and trying to live the Christian life in our own power. What happened to the resurrection power of Christians living by FAITH in Christ?

Jesus said "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." 5"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing John 15:4-5

Chris does a wonderful job in discernment and rightly dividing God's word of truth and THAT is what strengthens my Confidence in the LORD
