As much as these "ministers" are to blame for hawking WOF as "gospel truth", they are not alone in the blame; too many people are looking for all the wrong things from the Lord to begin with; they seek material goods when the primary thing they should be seeking is HIS KINGDOM:

"Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: ) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. " ( Matthew 6:31-34, KJV, emphasis mine)

James tells us where all the trouble comes from:

"From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. " (James 4:1-4, KJV, emphasis mine)

Jesus gives us the best advice on what we SHOULD be valuing:

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." (Matthew 6:19-21 , KJV, emphasis mine )

And Paul tells us :

" But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses." (1 Timothy 6:6-12, KJV, emphasis mine )

As for these "ministers", the Lord had some VERY harsh words for them:

" But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!" (Matthew 18:6-7, KJV)

"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping. For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)— if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment. This was not a chapter about backsliding, but a chapter about the fate of those that would pervert the word of God for their own filthy gain off the backs of those they swindle with their flashy words and disgusting, rotted "gospel".

the problem with many if not most are,,, they have not sat down and weighed the costs. They started building on on their own faulty foundations. How can you build on a foundation that was not laid properly? People build on all kinds of foundations their big beautiful enterprises, dreams, hopes on huge sums of money, beautiful houses and cars.. They think that they've got it made and are safe. However, when there is a CRACK because they are trusting in fickle men and women whom they have USED or trusted in and who no longer give because they are trusting in money,, then what is on the inside of you will start turning OUT and showing your true colors. They have built their houses on quick sand and when the STORMS and fierce winds and rains beat on their houses, they will come down with a mighty CRASH-Jesus talks about this in Mat.7:21-27.

There is only One Foundation and Jesus Christ is the Chief Cornerstone. "No one can lay any foundation other than the one ALREADY LAID which is Jesus Christ"-1 Cor. 3:11.

There is a Proverb that says "He who trusts in his riches will FALL but the righteous thrive like a green leaf"Pr.11:28...

You can be sure that when a huge catastropy comes it will expose the counterfeit real quickly. A Hired hand will run from the WOLF coming because he cares NOTHING for the sheep.

what they forget in all that temporary pleasure is Satan demands payment for that short amount of pleasure. They are so nummed with the lusts of the eyes, flesh and pride of life that their consciences can't make a proper measurement of the consequences.

I pray that they will HEED the fear of the Lord and repent and I pray that God will have mercy and grant them His favor. I hate to see people separated from God for all eternity. But I fear that they are being Judged by God stepping back more and more and letting them have what they want..

God is patient and so loving not wanting anyone to perish. No one deserves God's forgiveness. it is not too late for people to heed warning signs and repent trust in Jesus and be saved ...

I have a girlfriend that is so into Creflo Dollar and Kenneth Copeland and it is so so sad. When I try to speak with her, she gets very defensive and I know it is futile to even continue in conversation with her as her she is easily angered. It is all about them and their prosperity and nothing about storing up their riches in heaven.....The spiritual blessings our Father wishes to bestow upon us, His children, are far more valuable than any material blessings we could ever receive.

My girlfriend was truly blessed materially in that several years ago, she got a call from one of the local dealerships here in town telling her that someone had come in earlier that day and bought a brand new Toyota something or other for her. WOW !!! She was responsible for getting the insurance but that was it. What a blessing indeed. The sad thing was not so very long afterwards I heard her talking about praying that the Lord would bless her with this other type of car that she so wanted to have. I was actually speechless as all that she talked about was material blessings. ME - ME - ME !!

In watching these videos, I couldn't help but remember a tiny little pastor I met at the Ministry we go to in Texas. One evening, I had the pleasure of sitting and talking with him. They would go out to places in Africa, set up a tent, in the middle of no where, start preaching, and people would come out from no where. Before too long, he would see HUNDREDS coming to the Lord in salvation, healings that you couldn't keep up with, and the Lord moving in people's lives that was beautiful to see.

Then, I see a video like this of a multi million dollar facility of some "celebrated" pastor, and what does he preach on? TITHING!! This little Preacher in Africa said, he and his Ministers NEVER asked for a tithe from the people he ministered to and God would provide finances like you wouldn't believe.

It is good to read the many posts that are against the prosperity preachers. Many people have been turned off from attending church because of these prosperity preachers.

My family suffered under the abuse of such prosperity preaching. It has spiritually set us back. Trying to establish a trust is difficult. I have family members that require a lot medical treatment, so I can only give so much financally to the church. I'm judged by some as the reason they are sick is something I did wrong. You would be surprised at the church leadership leads the charge in rendering judgements on people who can't afford to give a lot. Being shunned in church is tough. When they are up in their Ivory tower, can they say they love their neighbor(my family) as much as themselves? My kids find them to be hypocrites.

That is a basic standard to love your neighbor as much as yourself. Can you preach holiness without Love? Not possible.

You want to get involved and it seems a lot of the positions in some churches are based on how much you give. James said God is not a respector of persons. Yet in these churches claimed to be holiness the rich man is often noticed and treated more favorabley than the poor man.

I honestly would like to see these prosperity ministers go into foreclosure on their megachurches because they have influenced a lot of local churches.

WE WANT TO GIVE,TIME,MONEY,RESOURCES to THE LORD and to our brothers and sisters,the spirit of GENEROSITY and GIVING is present in JESUS our PERFECT MASTER and EXAMPLE to follow...GOD IS A GIVER,JESUS is the LIVING DEMONSTRATION of this reality and also the apostles,following HIS COMMAND to go preach and teach GAVE themselves .....NEVER in THE EPISTLES I read of the TITHE,and when JESUS mentioned the tithe was talking to THE PHARISEES and SCRIBES,still under THE OLD COVENANT,THE TEMPLE was still there,THE CHURCH was not born yet!
The Church is a DISTINCT entity from ISRAEL.we are called to LAY our lives on the altar of GOD TO SERVE HIM INTEGRALLY,but we are NOT FORCED to do that,HE LEADS and we follow and if we follow HIM we reap ETERNAL BENEFITS......THE CHURCH is invited and instructed to give CHEERFULLY and according how GOD has prospered us ,NOT THE 10%....FREE LOVE OFFERINGS ,cheerfully,otherwise if it is done grudgily well,it is better NOT TO GIVE AT ALL!

Someone needs to say this plainly:

The faith healers and health-and-wealth preachers who dominate religious television are shamless frauds. Their message is not the true gospel of JESUS CHRIST. There is nothing spirtual or miraculous about their on-stage chicanery. It is all a devious ruse designed to take advantage of hurting and desperate people.

The prosperity preachers and not godly ministers but greedy imposters who corrupt the Word of God for money's sake. They are not real pastors who shepherd the flock but mercernaries whose only design is to fleece the sheep. Their love of money is glaringly obvious in what they say as well as how they live. They claim to possess great spirtual power, but in reality they are rank materalists, imposters and enemies of everything holy.
