not even a full 48 hours into the new year and a known apostate church in Omaha is involved in a controversy or making controversial statements
that has to be a record for them.

Matthew 2:1-12
All religions are not the same. Their differences are important to their followers. I say “to their followers” because I don’t believe the differences of true religions matter at all to the Divine. What do I mean by “true religions”? I would submit that all our human constructs of faith which point to the same Divine Goodness of the Cosmos share some basic core morals and values. In these common teachings, we share in Truth. When we look beyond our semantics, we will find at the heart a transcendent unity of humanity.
Often when faith traditions study other world religions, we look for the differences between them. Identifying differences can have value. However, over the next several weeks, I propose to look for the similarities between world religions that we might identify and celebrate the sacredness in each.
This week we begin as the Hearts of Wisdom Seekers embark on a journey to the Light of the World.
