I am new to this forum, but I am so very happy to find other Christians who can discern what is happening in "our churches" today. I am already acquainted with the Lighthouse site and it is very informative. I appreciate others posting links to like-minded sites, which I intend to check out.

I come across so many "Christians" walking in darkness, following leaders who may possess a charismatic personality or has "made a name" for him/herself, blindly. They believe what they're told, never studying the Scriptures for themselves. My heart cries out because of the darkness that is deceiving multitudes of people. As the days pass us by, it continues to grow.

The world plus the voice of the emerging church keeps speaking of "peace, safety, tolerance, service to others and loving one another;" which at first glance appears wonderful. Without Jesus Christ and His shed blood as the cornerstone of beliefs, one being washed clean of sin, redeemed into God's precious family, these things, in and of themselves are without merit and can never actually occur. What the "flesh" can accomplish when it feels like it, cannot begin to compare with the Spirit of our living God residing within us and manifesting the "real" thing.

We, as the branches reaching out, must remain attached to the vine daily; through prayer, Bible reading and studying. There is no other way.

It's only going to get worse "out there." Regardless of what, "they say."
