Got House Flies? Here's A Good Cure!

We have house flies that are both fast and smart. One of them decided to start biting us tonight, and neither one of us could catch him. I didn't want to spay poison indoors, so I tried my extra firm hair spray. The fly is no longer flying!

Yes, it works like a champ. You can also use Windex. I use that when they are in or near the kitchen.

I get these really big cans of spray at the beauty parlor. Use regular poison on wasps outside too.

Hair spray, the industrial-a hair won't move in a tornado-freeze kind works great on wolf spiders too! PLUS, if you are feeling devious, you can then plant said immobile spider where an unsuspecting person can then find. It's a horrible, yet satisfying April fool's day prank.

On that note...I have found that just about any spray cleaner works to stop flying pests...a fly swatter is just not always on hand, but lysol, kitchen cleanser, oven cleaner, etc. are always within reach. My husband enjoys a lit match and a can of air freshener personally.

When I was a kid, we'd use hair spray and a lighter...made for a nifty flame thrower and would immediately knock out pesky flies, wasps and hornets in flight. Works great for ants too!

As an adult, I finally realized doing that--the can could have exploded in my hand! Seems as if the Lord was watching over me even then--as a redneck punk (as if that's really changed!)

BTW...fragrance body spray doesn't kill flies, only stuns them long enough to whack 'em with something else.
