My daughter is getting baptized!

Due to her age (8), our pastor was leary about letting her, but it was confirmed today that she is allowed! She accepted Christ last year, but was afraid of the pool, so that's why she waited.

When asked if she could explain salvation she said, "On one hand God is just and holy and has to punish sin, but on the other He is loving and doesn't want to punish us, so He sent Jesus to die on the cross for my sins so that I could go to heaven." \o/

She already testifies to her friends on a regular basis about God, Jesus, the rapture, and one time overheard a girl tell another that Native Americans were 'made' first, she opened her mouth and stated 'no they weren't Adam was created first, then Eve and they weren't Native Americans'. She has such a pure faith, and I'm so happy that she's able to make this declaration.

I join you in your celebration! In Daniel God says, "They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." Sounds to me like your daughter is on her way! How blessed you are!

What a beautiful response. Now keep her in the fertile ground that she remain strong. Unless you are home schooling her, watch her friends and help her to select friends with good character.

I say this because my daughter started out like yours, but got in with the wrong friends and her faith has been destroyed.

Lord Jesus protect your little flowers from the storms that would ruin their testimony.

No, I'm just kidding. I just search all over the net for them and then throw them in my photobucket.
It takes time but when I'm bored and have nothing else to do.

She attends public school, but I do monitor her friends really well, and we talk constantly about who's not a good friend and why. I plan on remaining diligent (if not stepping it up even more) as she gets older. I'll pray that your daughter returns to her heavenly Father.

I am rejoicing with you, Livin and will join in prayer for her to grow in grace and knowledge and that she walks in a personal & intimate relationship with her Lord and Savior. Praying the Lord draws Carl's daughter back to Him. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Also praying for your daugther.

Our youngest DD attended Christian school, great friends. However at 18 ran into a pastor's son that was rebelling and went off deep end for about a year. Ran away for a month but came back.

She finally dropped that dude, back to school, eventually found new great guy, now married with 1 son. Her faith was still there all the time. She can remember something inside her almost yelling at her during those BAD times but she could ignore it for a while. Still a mystery to her what was going on.

The Lord is Good, All the Time.
