The laying on of hands:



Following the commissioning ceremony and the laying on of hands, Mike presented me with two gifts: one was a Nelson's Ministerial Handbook which contains useful information for every conceivable situation at which a minister may be asked to officiate: from infant dedications to baptism of believers to weddings, funerals, visitations, etc, etc. A very useful book indeed! He also presented me with a glossy "Rose Guide to the Temple". What an awesome book about the temples of God on earth from the Tabernacle in the Wilderness through to Ezekiel's coming Temple!!! Here I am holding the gifts while Pastor Mike speaks to the congregation, inviting them for cake and refreshments afterward:



Here is the newly commissioned minister with two sweet things ... Vicki and the cake:




And here is a closeup of the beautiful cake Mike and Brenna gave us:



The cross on the cake is a keepsake box in which to keep little treasures.

How wonderful Pastor Mike and Brenna were to us!!! We were so blessed that neither Vicki or I will ever forget the love, the fellowship, and the encouragement these two provided to both of us.

I should note that hands were laid not just on myself, but on Vicki as well. We go out into the field of God's service TOGETHER!

What wonderful pictures! I wish we could have been there, but Springfield is just a little too far away. The children are absolutely precious! Adrian, Vicki and you make such a handsome couple!
