“The Cross of Calvary”

You paid the price at the Cross of Calvary
You tasted death; set sin’s prisoners free
You raise to life those who trust in You
You give them hope as only You can do

You love them with a love that never dies
You hear their prayers and their hearts’ cries
You are present, even in their darkest hour
You strengthen them in Your mighty power

You promised that you would come back again
You have said none but the Father knows when
You will gather together all who are Your own
You will lead Your lambs to their eternal home

I Peter 2:24 (NASB)
and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

Colossians 2:13-15 (NASB)
13 When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,
14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
15 When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.

That is good, I like it because it has the cross in it. I like any poem or Hymn that has the Cross or Blood in it. That's why I mainly listen to the old Gospel Hymns. I believe Satan hates to hear Christians proclaim the Cross of Jesus or the Blood of Jesus. I have read the story of Fanny Crosby who,lost her sight at a very young age and went on to write thousands of Gospel songs in her life and was a great Blessing to many. So keep writing and posting.
