    Default Got a Question...

Not sure if this is the right place but, can someone explain to me the means to posting pictures to posts here in/on the forum? Never really understood that. Thanks in advance...

On most forums, if the forum itself doesn't have a way to host pics, then they have to be hosted online somewhere else.

Here you can click on "Quick Links" on the blue bar @ the top of the page. Then click on "Pictures & Albums," then click on the link that says "add album and start uploading pictures." Type a title in the box then "click to upload pictures." Click browse and find your pics on your computer. Once they've been uploaded, then go to the post or thread you want to add pics too (I'll usually have two browser windows open to copy and paste between). Then in the album you made, click on the pic you want to add. Right click on the picture and copy the URL Address under properties. In the post you want the picture @ click on the little icon next to the "insert link" icon (looks like a mountain to me) Paste the pciture URL in the box. Like this:

I hope this makes sense. :) If not, let me know.

I sat up an account with 'photo bucket' which loads from my computer off 'My pictures.'

Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

I can use them on any online site....

Thanks warthog but, I'm trying to figure out how to change or adjust the size. Good pic, I do like it but, kinda "in your fact" in size...

Oh, already had an account set up with photobucket but forgot about it...

Mike, the size of the pic's not bad. When you have to use scroll bars to see the whole pic - THAT'S bad. :D

I guess what I'm referring to is, some people will make a post that the pic placed in a post will be a "thumbnail" sized pic, click on that and you'll see a larger sized picture. How are these "thumbnail" sized pics put in posts???

    Mike,

You 'used' to be able to sized your pictures to the thumbnail size on photobucket.

That's the way I loaded my own clip art.

Now they have an automatic loading, but so far, they are small...

Robert, Yes I was in the AF for 21 years. I'm retired. :) I worked on the A-10 for almost 6 years. I was an Electrician on the flightline. I always said, I'd go anywhere in the world, any time to work on an A-10. I love those airplanes. BTW, the Army troops do too. :D

Mike, your family is beautiful. Not Louisiana water... Grand Isle's water isn't that clear.

Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

There used to be a squadron of warthogs at Barksdale AFB in Bossier, near where I live. Think they relocated to another base, but I occasionally see them fly in & out of here. Were you ever stationed here?

I appreciate the sentiment Robert, but I can say I never heard a shot fired in anger. :)

OD, never @ Barksdale. I was @ Myrtle Beach in the early 80s and worked them there. LOVE Them. :D

Thanks for the comments on the family. This was at Pensacola Public beach on a weekend visiting my wife's brother and family. When back home from the trip, I asked Mama if I could trim my beard. To me, was getting a little scraggly. She quickly said NO! Wants me to leave it alone for Christmas. Oh well, Mama has spoken, right?
Obviously, that's the Grand Baby at our legs and our "baby" boy, now 18 on the left.

Hey, Open Door; learning to use the computer? Well, I think I know just enough now to get myself in trouble!!
