Default Waking up in the morning....

Okay, a question I wanted to ask everyone here, just out of curiosity:

How many out there are morning people, and how many out there aren't?

How about all of you? I'm not talking about "gotta go to work": we ALL know that schtick. I'm talking about the weekend for example; where you can sleep in. (YOUR weekend or day off, don't try to get out of this one folks!!! :D )

    To start it off:
I myself tend to be something of a night owl, and I DESPISE mornings. For me, to wake up before the crack of noon is unheard of!! :D (besides, my "job" requires me to stay up nights anyways, as my dad has breathing problems in his sleep, and is a stroke survivor to boot.)

    Okay: any takers?

Note: this topic is for fun only. I don't want to see it turn into a theological debate about getting up for church or anything like that. We don't have to be serious here 100 percent of the time you know!

I am a "morning" person during the week - gotta have my coffeecoffeecoffee!! :hyst On weekends, it's a toss-up - I would like to sleep in, but it doesn't always work out that way...especially with my guinea pig, Chester, who tends to be my "back-up" alarm by squeaking at me and then if I don't get up, he acts like a "snooze" alarm going off every five minutes!!! :hyst Then the dog starts howling, and then that's when the real fun begins.... :tongue

Actually at my age I welcome EVERY morning with some surprise!

Seriously, I am a morning person for the most part. Especially once winter is over. It is not often on the weekend that I can sleep in.

I have to confess that I, too, am a nightowl. I sleep late mornings, easy to do, since I'm retired. I seem to do better studying, etc., at night. I love staying up late here with ya'll on the forum. However, in duck season, I get up early - reaaaal early.lol. Just the way that I am, I guess.

Night owl here. All of my life, I have been a night owl. I'm hoping at the rapture that the Lord can make me a "morning person" if He needs me to be one.

Another nightowl checking in. I would LOVE to say I was a morning person. There is something refreshing about that! But, alas, I would only be in denial. I just get going at 11pm.

Yup. And my two fellow nightowls above, pistache and readytogo, are my partners in crime in the chat room. (they'll deny it of course, and say I cause all the trouble! :D )

I am a MORNING person! I absolutely love it. Always have,
I remember as a kid I would get up and mum would
grumble go back to bed!!! ha

Being over here though has its advantages as I have the privilege
of being able to chat with you night owls and not be one myself

    I am definitely NOT a morning person. I am a late-afternoon-evening person.

I don't know if 7ish counts as morning person, but I'm usually up by then on the weekends too. Even if I stay up late the night before. Like 12 or 2 o'clock.
Don't jump at me I'm no conclusion

I can flip flop and be a morning person and nightowl. However, if I am up early in the morning, there'd best be a hand holding a hot cup of coffee or you are likely to get ignored until I gather my bearings. I relish my time in the evenings when everyone else is asleep and I have some quiet time to myself. Sometimes it's worth it just to stay up late for that.
    Are we there yet?

I am definitely a morning person, and I usually hate staying up past 12 AM. Chat lately is starting to break me of that.
