    Default A Pre-Trib Pastor

I attended a funeral yesterday which was conducted by the pastor of the church near where my cabin is located. I was talking with him, and brought up the rapture of the church. He has many of the same books that I have, i.e., Larkin, Dwight Pentecost, Harry Ironsides, Walvoord, et al. We also discussed end-times, and he said that he has preached on it the last 2 Sundays. He seemed about as excited to know my stance on this as I was to find a pastor who believes as we do.lol. He wants to meet with me and discuss all this in detail. I can't wait to get into all this with someone who knows the Bible from the beginning to the end. Suppose that I'm just posting this out of the excitement of finding someone locally who knows about these issues and is into them like we are!!

Ooooh, awesome idea, Jackie! If he would join us, what a terrific resource for biblical info he would be, but also a terrific witness to those lurking! My pastor is also pre-trib and he's a treasure. We talk about it all the time.
    Are we there yet?

While not being a member of his church, I know many who are, and they all speak highly of him. He's one to be there for his congregation, one of the true men of God. I was told that he is up at 5 a.m. every morning, studying the Bible. He believes God's Word, as it is, and all of it. I am excited about studying with him, he said tht he would get with me sometime. I know that he's quite busy, but if it would fit with his schedule, I too, would love to have him join us here. Thanks for the idea, and may the Lord bless each and everyone of you on this forum - you belong to a special group that I like to call "the TRUE church". Keep looking up!!!!!!!

Oh!! How exciting!! Like Jacee said--hold onto him! Finding a pastor who is pre-trib is rare these days, and finding one who is willing to state it publicly is even rarer! You're so lucky!!

Finding one who will discuss it, let alone teach it, is amazing. Clear his calendar as best you can so he can study. I think I'm getting twinges of envy.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Then he asked: "sirs, what must I do to be saved"?. They told him: "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved, and thy household".

    Act 16:30,31

    Jesus saved me.

How exciting Open Door! So I seem to have the same books you do! Yes, hang on tight to him and encourage him to fight the good fight....keep us posted. We all need to lift him up in prayer because, pastor's like that are few and far between.

God's Lamb, he is a pastor of a small country church. But, you know what, he's one of the few good ones left. No, he didn't go to Harvard. No, you won't find his name as the author of a book. BUT, you will find him devoting his life to the Lord that he loves, pastoring his church, and tending to his members. He studies, and is led by the Holy Spirit. That's all that I ask of any pastor. I'm not a member of his church, but I know several who are. I pray that he will follow up and contact me for study. I believe that he will. I'll post again on it. Those books are amazing, aren't they? Larkin was before his time - enlightened with the Word. Same can be said of the others. God bless you, and keep looking up
