'Terror Trio' Plots Against Israel

'Terror Trio' Plots Against Israel
By Mike Mickey

I can't help but wonder just how blind the world is to hate Israel with the passion it does for no good reason, aside from the obvious of course (Satan).

Mere weeks ago I read a Jerusalem Post article that had as its theme an all too frequent topic, which is how Israel is the "main cause" of all the Middle East's problems. Not Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas, or Al Qaeda, all of which would like nothing less than to destroy Israel and commit genocide against the Jewish people, but Israel!

In the article in question, it was reported that The Financial Times "placed the role of settlement-building in the West Bank “above any other single factor affecting the conflict” and referred to settlement-building as “colonization” in nine editorials."

Israel's West Bank settlements are the main problem in the Middle East? Could've fooled me! I always thought that hatred of Israel along the lines of the language found in Psalm 83 had something to do with all the tensions over there, but maybe I was wrong.

Psalm 83:4: They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

Apparently, if Israel would just stop building settlements in the West Bank, all would be well. Such an act of goodwill on Israel's part would probably prove to be every bit as effective as Israel handing over the Gaza Strip to the Palestinians in 2005, which didn't change the atmosphere in the region a great deal unless one considers the Palestinians subsequently launching thousands of rocket and mortar attacks against civilian targets in Israel a gesture of friendship.

Come and let us cut them off

As liberal and godless armchair quarterbacks all over the world point to Israel as the main source of all the Middle East's problems while simultaneously, for all practical purposes, calling for the Israelis to kiss the boots of their enemies, some of the most responsible sources of Middle East conflict here in the real world are gathered in Damascus, Syria, talking of war --- and the destruction of Israel, of course.

On 2-25-10, Ynet News reported that even before Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Damascus, a city living on borrowed time according to Isaiah 17:1, he was affirming Syria and Iran's long-standing commitment to conflict with Israel. Ahamdinejad was quoted in the article as saying Iran and Syria "stand at the forefront of the resistance to the Zionist regime."

Shortly after Ahmadinejad arrived in Syria, Syrian president Bashar Assad joined him for a press conference wherein Assad said, according to the Associated Press, "his long-standing alliance with Tehran remains strong despite overtures from Washington intended to shift his loyalties."

Today (2-26-10) Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah has joined what Israel National News has dubbed the "Terror Trio" to "talk shop", the latter being codeword for the three plotting to destroy the nation of Israel and its people in my humble opinion.

Think my opinion is off-base? You're free to do so, of course, but considering the Jerusalem Post is reporting that Ahmadinejad and Assad, in a press conference held today, ""unleashed vicious rhetoric against Israel, with Ahmadinejad declaring that the “criminal” state of Israel is doomed, and Assad charging that Israel “is capable of aggression at any point"" I like my chances of being correct in my assessment of what is taking place, potentially even as I type these words.

But who knows? Maybe the 'Terror Trio' is only publicly threatening the annihilation of Israel while in private they're worrying themselves sick over those dreadful West Bank settlements. Or maybe who got eliminated from American Idol last night.
