Iran in Bible Prophecy

One of the most interesting end times events involves a Russian led moslem coalition that tries ti invade Israel in the last days. This prophecy is foretold in Ezekiel 38-39. The two chief nations that lead this attack as Russia (Magog) and Iran (Persia). These two nations are currently expanding ties and Russia is currently involved in helping to finish the Iranian nuclear program. This nuclear program is a threat to the world as Iran has not made any genuine attempts to work with the world organizations responsible for controlling the proliferation of nuclear weapons. It is my opinion that this new found friendship between Russia and Iran is currently setting us on a collision course for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
Iran has for a long time been a staunch enemy of Israel and currently it's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called for the Jewish state to be wiped off the map. These threats are of great concern and why Iran's place in Bible prophecy is not looking good. God promises that he will intervene in this coming war and destroy 5/6ths of the invading forces that try to annihilate the Jewish state. God does not do this because Israel has earned it, God does it to restore glory to his name as well as magnify himself in the site of the nations. This is truly on war that you don not wants to be on the wrong side of.
Surprisingly, we are seeing the drastic rise of anti-semitism in the world that is slowly but surely leading the world to the conflict foretold by the prophet Ezekiel in chapters 38-39. Iran for their part continues to flaunt the world community despite the passage of four rounds of sanctions aimed at Iran. It is clear that Iran is marching head on to a showdown with the God of Israel. God will use his classic weapons of causing Israel's enemies to fight against one another as well as using fire and brimstone from Heaven and the use of hailstones. This does not sound good for the enemies of Israel.
So as we can see, Iran is mentioned in Bible prophecy do it is likely that at some point Iran will make a fatal mistake and head to the norther mountains of Israel and finally meet the God of Israel.
Let us continue to pray for Israel as well as the Jewish people. And of course, let us continue to pray for the peaace of Jerusalem.
